PROJECT UPDATE: PREMRON CHS
Conveyor commercialisation journey continues for Premron CHS
Congratulations to Premron Continuous Haulage System (CHS) who have announced a new trial site and collaborative partner for their revolutionary conveying technology for the underground mining industry. Premron are recipients of $1 million in funding from the third round of the METS Ignited Collaborative Project Funds. Additional funding has been contributed from collaborative industry partners ACARP and previous hosts.
The next round of mine site trials at Anglo American’s Moranbah coal mine will assist Premron to make further improvements to their fully enclosed, semi-autonomous system which aims to provide a fully integrated, dust-free conveying system, while improving the safety and productivity of the underground haulage system. This is important progress for the Premron project with a fully working demonstration of the system, is an essential step in the journey to full commercialisation.
