Project description and overview

This project develops sensors for iron ore grade and automation controls to respond so that variable upgrade ratios can be implemented in the beneficiation plant, delivering a more constant output from the plant and therefore higher on average grades with higher returns.  The iron ore industry is experiencing lower grades internationally and this problem is likely to be ubiquitous globally with a consequent large market potential.

The partners are well qualified and expert in their fields.  The client, Roy Hill, supports it strongly and has confirmed a strong value proposition. The automatic adjustment technology has been developed and applied to chrome and coal and along with conventional flow rate and density sensors will deliver substantial value.
