Project description and overview

External training facilities are recognised as extremely valuable for the resources sector, with pre site training creating a 30%-time reduction for inexperienced workers being operationally ready. Australia has limited external facilities, with mining downturns often resulting in further decommissioning of training centres.

MyneSight’s project addressed this with a purpose-built Inexperienced Mineworker Training Program (referred to as MyneStart), which was developed to ensure a consistent safe pathway for inexperienced personnel to enter the underground mining industry.

This project was designed to connect with Mining Resources Centre of Excellence being developed in Mackay.
