METS Ignited congratulates program partner, MyPass Global (MyPass), on their recent major contract award. MyPass today announced:

MyPass Global has been awarded a contract by BHP to power its Global Contractor System and Worker Skills Passport. The software will connect safety-critical data related to contractor on-boarding, mobilisation, and management. MyPass will be an enterprise-wide central record for BHP’s service contractor workforce.”

The Global Contractor System will provide BHP with new risk controls, reporting tools and improved data, including competency and conduct.

BHP contractors will use a digital Skills Passport to manage compliance information. This way, contractors will be assigned a unique identification number that will follow them across all future BHP engagements.”

Founded in Australia in 2015, MyPass was initially supported by the NERA Industry Growth Centre to complete a pilot program. Based on the success of the pilot, MyPass secured subsequent funding from METS Ignited to enable the company to commercialise and expand their innovative solution to meet global demand.

METS Ignited CEO Adrian Beer thanked MyPass CEO Matt Smith for acknowledging the support of the Growth Centre.

The whole team at METS Ignited are delighted to see the support for MyPass in recent years has resulted in this significant outcome for Matt and the team,” Mr Beer said.

A contract of this magnitude is a game-changer, reinforcing our commitment to the commercialisation of Australian knowledge right here in Australia.

MyPass exemplifies the approach we are taking to support the development and commercialisation of innovation from Australia’s resources sector, for the benefit of multiple other industries.

This outcome also demonstrates the value of timely seed funding and the way that can be successfully leveraged for global expansion.

We will continue to support Australia’s mining equipment, technology and services sectors to innovate, commercialise and deliver world-first, cross sector solutions,” he concluded.
